Better Personal Leadership = Better Dollars

Think you know yourself? Think you know your significant other? Possibly, but maybe not. Everything we do is driven by fulfilling the basic needs our personality desires. Your financial decisions and tendencies can also be derived from fulfilling those basic needs.  Understanding why you do what you do through a short 20-30-minute personality assessments can provide you with a perspective and tools necessary for higher financial awareness.

Better personal leadership =  better dollars.

Taking Ownership

In almost all instances, financial success doesn’t just happen. One of the biggest differences between those who find financial success and those who don’t is personal responsibility. Taking a personal inventory via self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, and relationship management are key in shifting your financial paradigm.  The sooner you own the decisions you make, or fail to make, the sooner you can start your journey to better dollars.

Your financial WHY!

Talking about where you want to go without ever taking action is a pleasant dream. Taking action without ever knowing where you are going is called wishful thinking. The results in both situations can have a significant impact on you and your family. Knowing your financial WHY is the foundation I use to help my clients organize their money. Know your WHY, this defines your purpose. Defining your purpose defines your plan. Defining your plan, defines your actions. Defining your actions, moves you towards results.

There is no one size fits all investment plan nor is there a one size fits all investment professional. Both the investment and investment professional need to compliment you, the client. All new relationships start with a 30-60-minute complimentary introduction session where I seek to understand your expectations and I share mine. If agreeable, we then will schedule a follow-up session to set up the next steps:

Gary Arblaster

Before you jump into any investment products, we must do the preliminary work to understand your money mindset. During this time, we will discuss how you make financial decisions, your financial habits, and how you view your financial future. We will discuss what you hope to accomplish through your investments. We will discuss your timeframe and your tolerance for risk. We will discuss where you currently have your assets and why the assets are there. Although optional, I will suggest you take a personality assessment to learn how your personality style can impact the way you make financial decisions. Knowledge is Power. Finally, we schedule a third session.

The information uncovered in our discovery phase will be reviewed. I will compare what you currently are doing with the responses you gave in our previous discussion. I will look for ways to improve your focus and increase your bottom line. We will goal set with clear action steps in place for you to succeed.

Whether it would be to go back to the basics of establishing an emergency fund or a recommended investment portfolio, I will come back to you with any suggested action steps as we review your progress.

Representative Client List:

“I am Director from a Cybersecurity professional services firm based out of the Philadelphia area.  As our team grew I knew it was important to engage my team in formal training of different personality types and how to get the most out of diverse project teams.
Gary did a fantastic job of facilitating a leadership DISC workshop with my team.  The workshop was very collaborative and did not feel like we were being presented to which can result in people losing interest.  Everyone was engaged during the entire workshop and I saw a lot of lightbulbs going on across the room as to acknowledging that 1) different personality and work types exist and 2) interacting with these different personality and work types require different techniques.  Several people came up to me or e-mailed me after the workshop to tell me how much they enjoyed it and thought it was a beneficial exercise.
Gary’s clear communication style, enthusiasm around the topic, and energy he brings to the room made him a great facilitator and someone I would recommend to any organization looking to train their employees in leadership skills.”
Carl Angeloff | Security Risk Advisors

“Gary is an outstanding communicator.  He is able to articulate concepts and facilitate dialogue in ways that are engaging and that lead to actionable takeaways that make a real difference.”

Jim Stout | President Pittsburgh Leadership Foundation

“Funny, entertaining, yet educational. A great presenter and fund workshop for any size organization.”

Paula Bracken | Howard Hannah Realtor

“Loved the content. It was interesting and insightful. I am looking forward to using it with both my stand and clients.”

Shannon Sottile | Mosaic Wealth Consulting

“It really opened my eyes to why I had difficulty with some co-workers. It was a real ‘ah-ha!’ moment.”

Linda Mitchell | Downtown Indiana

“Not only did Gary help me better understand myself, but he helped me better understand how to find and build value with other personalities. I am looking forward to applying this to my personal & professional life.”

Alexis Blose | GCES
