There is no one size fits all investment plan nor is there a one size fits all investment professional. Both the investment and investment professional need to compliment you, the client. All new relationships start with a 30-60-minute complimentary introduction session where I seek to understand your expectations and I share mine. If agreeable, we then will schedule a follow-up session to set up the next steps:
Before you jump into any investment products, we must do the preliminary work to understand your money mindset. During this time, we will discuss how you make financial decisions, your financial habits, and how you view your financial future. We will discuss what you hope to accomplish through your investments. We will discuss your timeframe and your tolerance for risk. We will discuss where you currently have your assets and why the assets are there. Although optional, I will suggest you take a personality assessment to learn how your personality style can impact the way you make financial decisions. Knowledge is Power. Finally, we schedule a third session.
The information uncovered in our discovery phase will be reviewed. I will compare what you currently are doing with the responses you gave in our previous discussion. I will look for ways to improve your focus and increase your bottom line. We will goal set with clear action steps in place for you to succeed.
Whether it would be to go back to the basics of establishing an emergency fund or a recommended investment portfolio, I will come back to you with any suggested action steps as we review your progress.
